Contigo Recalls 5.7 Million Kids Water Bottles ‘Potential Choking Hazard’

Contigo announced Tuesday that it is recalling the lids on 5.7 million of its Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles because the spouts pose a potential choking hazard. According to the voluntary recall notice posted on the Consumer Product Safety Commission website, the bottles were sold at retailers nationwide including Target, Walmart and Costco between April 2018 and June 2019. "Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water bottles, take them away from children and contact Contigo for inspection instructions and a free replacement lid," the recall notice states.
